Here I am making my glorious return back to xanga....cause Anch asked.

So yah,  I haven't been writing much because my life has been fairly routine. School and home during the week, and usually out a few times in between. I've been catching up with old friends (some time with Asees finally, hanging out at Mirad's place) and getting to know the new ones better. I spend 90% of my time with my flatmates, especially with the addition of our weekly catch up dinner, which I love.

Otherwise, London is COLD. There was snow on Wednesday morning, but it dissapeared quickly, and before I could really get any photos. The cold, wet weather keeps me from exploring as much as I should, but Sapna and I went down to the City and walked around near St. Paul's. I love it down there. Its what real London feels like, the way you imagine it to be. Islington feels very suburban, average. It lacks a good deal of character, I feel.

Went to Beduin last night with an enormous group of people. Stuck around til 2:30 or so, before coming home and passing out. Might be going out with Asees again tonight, which should be fun.

The greatest thing weighing on my head is my need to come up with a dissertation topic...I have new ideas every day, but nothing that seems to be promising itself at the penultimate subject for a thesis. We'll see; I don't have much time left to figure it out.

Might be going to Germany during reading week to see my dad, and then my brother comes to London in March, both of which I'm looking forward to extremely. Also trying to sort out some travel plans for the spring holidays. I'm thinking about going to the south of France, and Paris as well, which would be ideal. Maybe back to California? Been missing it a lot, particularly the sunshine. I'd also just like to see all my friends. Its weird going from seeing everyone daily at Roma last year to talking maybe once a week these days.

And to my reading I return.
